Rosenwald Acres' EARTH DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Motown, Jazz, Blues and Country music in Huntsville on the old Rosenwald School Grounds!

An afternoon of "Old School Jams”--Motown, Soul, Vaudeville, Country and Jazz  in the Huntsville Woods  on Earth Day, April 22, 2022, from 3-8pm.   This free spring afternoon celebration of newly reclaimed historic land will feature live entertainment,  vendors, food trucks, artisans, entertainers  and storytellers.

A Free Live Music Concert on Huntsville Texas' 100 year old Rosenwald School Grounds!

The property is being developed by a family of generational educators  to create an earth-friendly, conservational totally sustainable habitation on the 2 acres of Huntsville's   Rosenwald School grounds,

LOCATION: Just 3 miles north of the new Huntsville Police station  at 639 Rosenwall Rd., Huntsville Texas, 77340.

Honoring the Ancestors...

Community  Beneficiary:

 The Kittrell-Wilson Cemetery Restoration Fund

This cemetery is where the bodies of the Rosenwald School founders and primary caregivers are buried. 50% of the Funds raised will help repair the overgrown 1/4 mile access trail  from Rosenwall Road to the Cemetery gate;  renovate the headstones and purchase headstones for folk who are missing a marker (Ironically the school's founder, John Wesley Wilson, does not have a marker there) .   The funds will also help us prepare the old Rosenwald school grounds for an earth-friendly, zero-emission, solar-powered multigenerational family future!

DIRECTIONS

Highway 45 to Exit 118.  Turn to 75 south and merge east to 2821

Turn left on Rosenwall Road ( at the  new Huntsville Police Station)  and drive 3.9 miles north, just past George Wilson Road, to Rosenwald Acres at 639 Rosenwall Road.

...with Community Enrichment!

Non-Profit Beneficiary:

The Samuel Walker Museum and Cultural Center.

NPO # 73-1720777

Houston Industrial School  and Dormitories on Highway 30,  just west of downtown Huntsville TX.

Samuel Walker Houston's  highway 30 school  location is also  the site of the state of Texas' first boarding school for African American Children.  Most of Prof. Houston's buildings were heavily supported  by the Julius Rosenwald 's Fund.
